Community Centre for Slum Project (CCSP)

Purpose: To provide support to slum habitants so that they can live more humane life.

Highlights of the program

  1. Provide support to community member in their search for employment;
  2. Provide support to the children, women and youths in their quest for better and meaningful life;
  3. Support building a common platform where community members can share their resources including skill, experience and knowledge;
  4. Campaign to make community members aware about the drawbacks of violence, drug use, and prostitution;
  5. An early childhood development (ECD) center where 30 children of age 3-5 get opportunity to play, rest, learn, and feed: they are provided breakfast and day-meal;
  6. After school program (ASP) that provides children with their homework and other co-curricular activities for 50 children;
  7. A pre-school that caters to 10 children;
  8. A mothers’ club with 25 members that provides mothers opportunity to rest, talk and share their experience: they are also provided family education;
  9. A youth club that has 35 members conducts various capacity building activities for the youths;
  10. Altogether there are 10 personnel working in these centers: they are focal person, center manager, caregivers, After School Program (ASP) coordinator, ASP teacher, dance training teacher, etc.
