- A survey of 55 slums all over the Kathmandu Valley describes the slum settlements and its inhabitants: their access to housing facilities, water, sanitation, transportation, communication and electricity.
- The aspect of education, health and financial possibilities are described. It provides comprehensive information about the current slum settlement situation in Kathmandu Valley.
- This survey can also be used as a tool by NGOs and other organizations that wish to target their help better according the service gaps that are existent at the slums.
