Internal Manual Migrant Labors Survey

Purpose: To assess problems faced by internal manual migrants in Kathmandu.

Budget: NPR 550,000.00 (Approx. US$ 7000)

Highlights of the program

  1. The survey included 138 respondents residing and working in 63 different locations in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.
  2. Questionnaire was constructed around migrants’ job, income, work environment, living condition, access to information technology, family size, etc.
  3. Seven volunteers and staffs were mobilized to conduct the survey and data.
  4. The final findings/report was presented in a seminar in the presence of non/government officials, journalists, professionals, labor activists, and international communities in Kathmandu.
